IreneWALLTERDied peacefully at Astley Grange Nursing Home on Saturday, 20 June 2026, aged 93 years. Irene was the widow of the late Norman Cecil Waller, who died in 1992. She was the deeply loved mother of Richard, grandmother of Bryony, Hannah and Samuel, and great-grandmother of Ari, Pixie, Arthur and Eden. She is survived by her Brother Graham Dyson and her sister Margaret Greaves. The family would like to extend their thanks to all the staff at Astley Grange for the compassion and care shown during her stay following her stroke in January.
There will be a Committal Service at Huddersfield Crematorium at 12:30 pm on Monday, 20th July 2026. This will be followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for Irene's life at Oakes Baptist Church at 1:15 pm. Donations to the Stroke Association will be taken in place of flowers.
