Elizabeth (Betty) McGlincheySMITHSMITH Elizabeth McGlinchey Smith (nee McNaught) Peacefully in her 92nd year, on 22nd April 2026 Betty, of Garrowhill, Glasgow, beloved wife and best friend of the late Ronnie (Ronald James Smith), married for 58 years. She was born in Dumfries and was a former day pupil of the Benedictine Convent School. Dearest mum to Carol and Gillian, proud and loving Gran to Amy, thrilled Grangran of Joy and Wilfred. Fond mother-in-law of Jeremy and of grandson-in-law, Calum. Daughter of the late William and Ellen McNaught, of Dumfries. Eldest sister of the late Anna, Bill and infant William. Godmother to Stephen. Sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and good friend.

Reception and Vigil to St Francis of Assisi Church, Baillieston, Glasgow, G69 7XB on Tuesday 12th May at 6.30pm Requiem Mass on Wednesday 13th May at 10.30am Interment at St. Andrew's RC Cemetery, Calside, Dumfries at 2pm on Thursday 14th May.

A wonderful life, well lived. All family and friends welcome to all the services.
