GwylfaJONESPeacefully on 24th June, aged 86, Gwylfa, a devoted husband to Ann, a loving dad to Caroline, Mark and Claire, a respected father in law to Mark, Suzanne and Gary, and will be deeply missed by all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral will be on Monday 10th July, from his daughters home, Ynyswerdd. Penllergaer, SA4 9AR at 12pm, followed by cremation at Swansea Crematorium at 12:30pm. Family flowers only, any donations can be made in lieu to 'Prostate Cancer UK' via funeral-notices co.uk or cheques may be presented to Lee Davies of Phillip G. Davies & Son, Independent Family Funeral Directors, Cockett. SA2 OGB Tel: (01792) 581924.

Not a single day goes by without a thought, a chat or a chuckle with you, but I wish so much it wasn’t just inside my head.
I miss you so much, especially on these special days.

One of our favourite TV watches Dad - ‘Trooping of the Colour’, unfortunately can’t watch it all this morning but have recorded it.
We had the same conversation every time it was on - the guardsman, the precision of every footstep, the drums and the marching, an incredible sight.
Then you would tell me how far from horse guards parade you used to be stationed and we would have your time in the guards stories - don’t envy them in the bearskins in this weather.
I’m still memorised by them.
Anyway, I’ll watch it all tomorrow and think of our conversations. Then of course the next one is the British Legion remembrance ceremony In November from the Royal Albert hall.
