Aunty Mag brought our family across the globe so much joy. Phone calls were always a laugh, and we have treasured memories of spending time with Aunty Mag in Australia and on visits to Holyhead, and her warm and generous hospitality. Thank you Aunty Mag, and sending lots of love, Helen

Auntie Mag, what a star you were. Always full of beans, so full of cheer, and with the most contagious laugh. You would light up any room and make everyone smile. We’ll always remember your cheerful “Yoohoo!” as we walked through the door, followed by the biggest, warmest squeeze.

Emily and I loved every minute of staying with you in our very own ‘flat’ upstairs, putting on shows for you all - a “proper job,” as you’d call it.

We’re so thankful that Teddy and Rosie had the chance to meet such a truly wonderful person.

We love you, Auntie Mag. Rest peacefully, with a sherry in your hand, with Nanny and all the special people up there.

With all our love,
Lucy, Jake, Teddy and Rosie xxxx

It was such a privilege to be in Aunty Mag’s orbit; like Mary Poppins, she found the element of fun in all things. While people might say Aunty Mag was the life of the party, we would argue that she WAS the party! It was such a joy that her antipodean great nieces got to know her. As they travelled the world and arrived in Holyhead she would fling open her door and gather them into her arms with a welcome as big and warm as Trearddur Bay. And what a magnificent spread she would have, always meticulously planned and prepared for weary travellers. Aunty Mag had a knack of making you feel like the most important person in the world whenever she spoke to you, hence the constant stream of visitors through her home! Thanks for the example of your great love and great hospitality Aunty Mag.

It was always a joy being in Aunty Margaret’s company. Even if she was having a bad day, she would smile, make a joke thus making everyone around her laugh. This lovely, kind lady will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Auntie Maggs was a cousin to our Mum and a great friend. Mum would always say "I have the girls coming over this week" when they were all in there 70's at least.

Maggs would always light up any room she was in with her personality, laugh and the numerous stories and anecdotes she would tell.

She will be missed.
