DorothyDONKINIt is with the deepest sadness we share the passing of our adored Dot, who passed away peacefully on 31st May 2026 at the RSUH, surrounded by the love of her family.

Dot was the heart and soul of the Donkin family, a devoted wife and soulmate to her beloved husband Tony; a much-loved mum of Lorraine, Mark, Tracy and Gail; cherished mother-in-law of Gino, Sandra, Colin and Reg; proud and loving nan of Rob, Rachel, Courtney, Olivia, Dario, Eleanor and James; treasured great-nan of Zara, Izaak, Zac, Jensen and Billy.

Her kindness, warmth, wisdom and unwavering love touched countless hearts. She leaves behind a family who will miss her beyond words and cherish her memory forever.

Funeral service will take place at St Mary's Church, Bucknall, on Thursday 25th June at 1.30pm, followed by interment at Carmountside Lawn Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, in memory of Dot, may be made for Dementia Research UK.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.

Mum, I wish I could have one more of everything with you. One more, hello, I love you, laugh, cuddle, phone call, chat, memory. There are so many things we did that i miss. You always knew what to say and what to do.
I am so proud of you mum you were the best mum and I am so lucky that you were mine. I got to spend 53 years with you loving me unconditionally. And I got to love and adore for those 53 years and will continue to do so for the rest of my life.
My heart is broken Mum, and you have taken a piece of it with you. Hold it close to you Mum and keep it safe until we meet again. I will love you forever and always xxxx

It is with great sadness and shock that we read of the passing of lovely Dot.
It has been a pleasure knowing Dot over the past years on her visits to our shop and market stall in Leek with Tony.
Dot was a truly lovely lady who always brightened up our day with her warm smile, full of love.
We will miss her very much but how lucky we have been to know her.
Our condolences go to Tony and the family,
Rest in peace lovely lady,
From
Garry, Maxine and Faith

Our lovely Nanny Biscuit 🤍
I hope you knew just how lucky we were to have you as our Nanna
You brought us up on Pippin, Mars bars & all the love in the world - your home is my happy place

If you could send some sun our way so I can get the washing on the line, I’d appreciate it - but it breaks my heart knowing that i can’t ring you to ask you if it will actually dry - our favourite conversation

I’ll love & miss you forever Nanna, our memories I’ll cherish and I’ll never stop telling your little Billy all about his amazing nanny biscuit.
I’m so lucky to have had you in my life, I hope I carry on making you proud xxxxx
