SaraDODDPeacefully on 30th December at the Marie Curie Hospice, Penarth after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer, Sara Helen, aged 61 years, (Retired Welsh Government civil servant and member of Cor Y Gleision). Beloved Daughter of Joy and the late Len, also much loved partner of Alex Souter. She will also be sadly missed by her Brother Simon, his wife Fiona and their children Nick, Lizzie and Laura. Funeral Service at Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium, Port Road East, Barry CF62 9PX on Friday 27th January at 12:00 noon. (Please wear bright clothing in keeping with Sara's personality). Family flowers only please, but donations may be made to Marie Curie Hospice, Bridgeman Road, Penarth, CF64 3YR. Donation envelopes will also be supplied in the chapel, should you wish to donate at the service. Many thanks to the staff at Velindre Hospital, Cardiff and Marie Curie Hospice, Penarth for all their help, care and attention. I had known Sara for over 20 years having met her when I joined the Welsh Government. She was such a warm and much loved lady, who I was glad I could call her a friend.
Sleep tight Sara, in God's love and protection.

I only knew Sara for a short while when I joined the Department before she sadly had to retire from work because of her illness. Sara was very kind to me and took me under her wing whilst I got to know the ropes, I very much appreciated all the help she gave me. Rest in peace Sara. x
