## A Tribute to Sarah Delaney
We are here today to celebrate the life of Sarah. While her journey had its setbacks, there are so many beautiful, happy memories for us to look back on and cherish today.
Sarah was the youngest of five children, and the much-loved daughter of Jim and the late Enid Delaney. Growing up, Sarah was always by her Mum’s side. They forged an incredibly deep, unbreakable bond. While we feel the pain of her absence, we can find comfort—especially her father, Jim Senior—in knowing that Sarah and her Mum are now peacefully reunited together.
Some of Sarah’s happiest times were spent traveling. As a girl, she loved exploring with her parents, and she often took special trips with just her Mum to visit family in Canada. There were also many wonderful holidays spent with her sister, Sue, and her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Sarah was a private person, and because trusting others could be difficult for her, she kept her circle small. But she valued true connection deeply. Today, we want to extend a special, heartfelt thank you to Carol. Carol, you were a remarkably trusted and supportive friend to Sarah. The family cannot thank you enough for your kindness, your loyalty, and your friendship. We know from Sarah’s own writings just how much your presence in her life truly meant to her.
Nature, gardens, and travel were Sarah’s sanctuaries. She found immense solace and peace in the quiet beauty of the outdoors. Looking at her plans, it is clear she still had a heart full of wanderlust, intending to travel more and discover new, beautiful corners of the world.
She was also an avid writer, blessed with the most beautiful handwriting. While it is sad that she wasn’t able to fully reach the vast potential she held, the words she left behind remain a gift
