AnneCURRANof Strauss Road, Sandfields, Port Talbot
Much loved sister, aunt and great-aunt, Anne will be remembered for her quick wit, strong opinions and unmistakable presence. Sister to Doreen, with whom she shared a lifelong battle of wills - interrupted only by occasional moments of agreement. A confidante and sounding board to many of her nieces and nephews.
She spent many years as office manager at Woolworths, rarely seen without her large bunch of keys and a can of Diet Coke, keeping colleagues and customers on their toes. It was there she formed lifelong friendships, including with Gwyneth - despite a notable talent for mischief - and Pat, with whom she spent many years putting the world to rights over lunch.
Known for being dependable, strong‑minded, awkward and bossy - often all at once. Anne leaves behind a family full of happy memories, more than a few of her opinions, and finally, the chance to have the last word.
Funeral service on Tuesday 7th July 2026 at St. Therese of Lisieux R.C. Church, Port Talbot at 10.00am followed by interment at Goytre Cemetery at 11.00am.
