The obituary notice of Julian CORNES

My mentor in Wellcome days.
We all trained together at Wellcome Foundation may years ago.
His support to me and his infectious smile will never be forgotten.
I am in tears and in complete shock...as I only found out yesterday of this Sad news.
He never replied to my messages for 2 years, now I know why!
It hurts so much as he was someone I looked upto and was a friend.
He called me Indian Princess!
My friend ....rest in peace.
You will always be in my prayers and thoughts.

I knew him for over 30 years.
Lost touch with him 2 years ago.
Only found out yesterday of his passing away.
Nothing could have prepared me for such sad loss!
Devastated, my heart hurts..he was somebody I admired for his sense of humour, great spirit for adventure and jest for life.
I am in temple praying 🙏

So very sad to hear of Julian’s passing. He was ‘Jules’ to me, we were good friends and work colleagues at Wellcome UK.
At work he was a brilliant mentor for me, always able to give a considered and constructive opinion to every situation.
In sports he was good at everything! I hated him ! Don’t think I ever took a game off him at squash despite many attempts and he was soon dropping me when we were out cycling together.
On my regular visits to N Wales inevitably we’d end up at the local Chinese restaurant putting the world to right over several Tsingtao beers which became our signature drink !

Jules rest in peace matey, I’ll never forget our good times together.
