Philip HaroldBASTICKIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Philip Bastick, aged 76, on Monday 4th May 2026.

Philip was the lifelong partner of Jessie, a much-loved stepdad, grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend to many. He will be fondly remembered for his loyalty, caring personality and wonderful sense of humour, which brought laughter and happiness to those around him throughout his life.

A former gardener, Philip enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and valued friendship, family and good company above all else. He had a great love of music and good food, and many happy memories were made in his company. His warmth, character and quick wit will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A celebration of Philip's life will take place on Thursday 11th June 2026 at 2.30pm at Torquay Crematorium.

Forever loved, sadly missed and always remembered.

Uncle Phil thankyou for being a lovely Uncle to me and my brother and then a lovely Great Uncle to both our children. You were always intetested to hear our news and pleased to see us.
We both loved you very much.
You were a great support to me when I lost dad, and a great friend to him.
I am really going to miss you.

Phil was my best friend for 57 years. He was very well known loved and respected within my family. We all have many wonderful memories some of them hilarious. Throughout our friendship we did many things together, such as gyming and swimming.

Following in the footsteps of his father Ron, and his brother Anthony, Phil became a professional photographer working the promenades and beaches, hotels and nightclubs of Torbay

Thank you Phil for everything you did with us, and for us.
