Alex was my brother. Although life took us in different directions in recent years, I am deeply saddened by his passing and will always remember him with great love. For much of our lives we were very close, and at times he was not only my brother but my best friend.

I am proud of the person he was, everything he achieved professionally and his enduring love for Donna, a love many people never experience in any lifetime.

He was taken far too soon. I hope the universe benefits for decades to come from his pioneering work and the remarkable legacy he leaves behind. My thoughts are with Donna and all who loved him.

Rest peacefully, Alex. I loved you deeply, and always will. May your soul and energy live on xx

Getting back in touch with you, Alex for these last few years after 2 and a bit decades has been the biggest joy. You've been a great friend, so giving, so constant, so much FUN ... with that infectious, honest laugh that starts with a giggle and quickly crescendos to an outright blast of happiness. I look forward to seeing you again, and if car-rentals are an option up there, preferably in a vintage British soft-top with the roof down, Beatles playing Beep-Beep and an open starlit road. Until then, good friend, there are so many memories to cherish. I wish you Godspeed on this next trip (make it easy on yourself though - take a big high-power road bike, NO pedalling!!) Donna, it's great getting to know you, Alex has been the luckiest of men having you by his side. We are here for you, forever. Love Dom and Isabel.
