Rosemary AnneHEMMINGSOn Sunday 31st May 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, Rosie aged 71 years.

Rosie devoted her life to children, both to her own with her husband Ian and to those whom she taught.

A private interment will take place followed by a Celebration of Rosie's Life at Bollington St.John's School, Grimshaw Lane, Bollington on Saturday 20th June at 14.15 p.m.

No flowers please, but Rosie wanted donations to go to either Bollington St.John's School Fund or The Christie Charity.

Today I was stunned to hear of Rosie's untimely passing. She was the wife of Ian, one of my English cousins. My husband and I had visited them from Canada in 1980 and we had kept in touch over the following decades. Rosie was beautiful inside and out and she made us feel very welcome. I recall the delicious meals! We could tell that she loved her teaching job and was very good at it. She was capable of almost anything and willing to jump into any challenge (according to family news). Ian adored her as did the rest of the Hemmings family. I wish we had seen much more of Rosie, but distance and opportunity made that difficult.
Love to Ian and their children as they cope with this sad loss.
