Michael JohnMERRITTPassed away peacefully on 25th May at Selkirk House care home, aged 83 years.

Devoted husband to Rosemarie (deceased) and dearly beloved family friend of Lesley, Tony, Chris and Rob.

Funeral service to take place at St. George's Church, Modbury on Wednesday 24th June at 10.30am followed by burial at St. George's Cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers, will be gratefully received for Modbury Caring and St. George' Church.

Sadly saw that my Squadron Sergeant Major on HMS Hermes in 1974, WO2 Michael (Mick) Merritt of Modbury was buried yesterday, he was a DL with a wonderful dry sense of humour and we later served together in 40 Cdo RM in 1977 when I was a subaltern in C Company and he was CSM Bravo Company.. I remember him fondly and with much respect as a superb RM Senior NCO.
